Realize Your Beauty was thrilled to take part in the "Yes She Can! Girls Take Back Their Education Summit 2012" in collaboration with Girls Inc. of NYC and the Brooklyn Girls Collaborative. The Summit was a day filled day with interactive workshops, activities, performances, and a discussion forum with elected officials surrounding the issue of equity in education. The Summit was held at the Urban Assembly Institute in Brooklyn, NY on August 17, 2012.
Realize Your Beauty had the privilege of leading two performances/workshops throughout the course of the day, and participating in the rest of the day's activities. The girls were amazing, and it was such a pleasure to connect with so many wonderful organizations such as viBe Theater Experience, SPARK Summit and HollaBack!.
We can't wait to take part in the next Summit!
