Realize Your Beauty is thrilled to be partnering with the
National Eating Disorders Association for this year's Awareness Week
Feb. 21 - 27, 2016
The goal of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (NEDAW) is to promote public and media attention to the seriousness of eating disorders and improve education about the biological underpinnings, environmental triggers, warning signs and how to help those struggling. Education and direction to resources can lead to earlier detection, intervention, and help seeking, ultimately improving likelihood of full recovery.
This year's theme is "3 Minutes Can Save A Life", stressing the importance to 'get screened, get help and get healthy'.
From the NEDAW website:
"This year, the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) is focusing on the importance of early intervention. We’re encouraging the public to take just 3 minutes to complete the confidential online eating disorders screening at screening.mentalhealthscreening.org/NEDA. Taking 3 minutes to complete the screening will help determine if it is time to seek professional help."
